NASPA Western Regional Conference 2015 Term of: Fall 2015 Learning Domain(s)  Professional and Personal Development Education Social Justice Description: NASPA hosted its Western Regional Conference in Oakland, CA November 8th - 10th, 2015. This served as the platform for students and professionals in student affairs to engage and interact. This event also allowed attendees to learn more about change from the past, things that are happening presently, and what the future of the student affairs profession will look like. Some of the topics focused on throughout the conference includes social activism, social justice, and social networking and technology. Student African American Brotherhood: From a Moment to a Movement: 25 Years of Meaningful Impact and Change Term of : Fall 2015 Learning Domain(s): Leadership Personal and Professional Dvelopment Social Justice and Advocacy Education Description: "SAAB operates through student chapters where young men of color enjoy the privilege of social, cultural and spiritual enrichment. SAAB increases the number of African American and Latino men graduating from college by creating a positive peer community based on a spirit of caring," (SAAB, 2015) The 25th SAAB Anniversary Black Tie Gala October 17th 2015 gave members of the organization on the western region to come together and enjoy their cultural similarities and differences.
